{Audrey} How I deal with a bad hair day

Hi! Audrey here! Long time, no see! I’ve been pretty busy in the last couple of months and I couldn’t contribute to this blog as much as I wanted to. Anyway, here I am again; ready to hit up this blog with new content every single week! Excited? Me too! So what are we waiting for? Let’s start right now!

I’m pretty sure that you have dealt with a bad hair day before. You know, one day you wake up and your hair randomly decides to give you the middle finger. You try to fix it as much as you can but it just won’t work. It ends up that your hair annoys the heck out of you and you just want to crawl back into bed rather than dealing with the real world. You recognize yourself in that story? Well, that’s me several times a week. As you may notice, I have thick long hair. It’s amazing when it’s all staying up in place and it doesn’t get all messed up but I’m never that lucky. More often than not, just turning in bed during the night is enough to create a bad hair day in the morning. So what do I do?

I take a deep breath and I try to come up with solutions.

If I have to go out really soon, I will usually tie up my hair in a ponytail and try to hide the small imperfections like the rebellious locks of hair with a good old hair clip. I know, it sounds way too cliché but it’s the only way I can go out in peace without having to put a hat on my head. Since I go to the gym three times a week, this solution ends up being really handy.

If I have a few hours in front of me, I just wash my hair once again. It’s a longer process but if I have the time, I prefer to do it rather than fighting with my hair back and forth. It’s less infuriating that way. Sometimes, it’s just better to give up and start all over again. My hair doesn’t deal well with a dry environment because it attracts static and as soon as I get it, it’s pretty much game over for me. It just gets way too difficult to fix. So, the safest way for me is to wash it again, untangle my locks of hair while still wet, dry it naturally as much as possible to avoid static, use the dryer a quick minute in the end to finish the job and comb my hair for the final result. It usually lasts me a day or two if done well.

And you? How do you take care of a bad hair day? Let us know in the comments!
